Medicines
(1) There are two categories of medicines. (2) First, they are prescription drugs. (3) They are used to cure both minor and serious ailments and diseases, and they could be dangerous if they are not used properly. (4) They need a prescription from doctors so that patient can purchase and use. (5) Second, they are over-the-counter (OTC) drugs. (6) These drugs do not require prescription from doctors to purchase. (7) They are drugs such as pain-killers, cold relieve, or vitamins. (8) In short, the medicines or drugs are categories depending on requirement for prescription or not.
